1. Temporary Enquiry Draft (Session Storage)

When you begin typing in the enquiry form on the Courses or Contact page, your draft is temporarily saved in your browser's sessionStorage (under the key hst:draft) with a 2-hour lifespan. This prevents you from losing your notes if you accidentally refresh or navigate between pages.

Important: Student names and phone numbers are never written to persistent localStorage. When you submit the form, this draft is immediately cleared.

2. Class & Board Preferences (Local Storage)

Only your preferred class grade and school board (e.g., Class 11, CBSE) are saved in localStorage (hst:prefs) after submitting an enquiry. This simply pre-selects your grade and board on future visits so you do not have to pick them again.

3. Scroll Restoration (Session Storage)

To make back and forward navigation natural, your previous vertical scroll position on up to 20 pages is kept in sessionStorage (hst:scroll). When you press your browser's Back button, your previous viewing position is smoothly restored.

4. Introductory Animations (Session Storage)

To keep the website fast and responsive, visited routes are recorded in sessionStorage (hst:seen). This ensures headline entrance animations only play once per browser session rather than replaying on every page transition.

5. Anonymous First-Touch Source (Session Storage)

If you arrive from Google Maps, a Google profile search, or a partner link with UTM tags, that attribution source is saved in sessionStorage (hst:src) so we can distinguish organic queries from direct visits without profiling you.
